pretty impressive, one of these things you really gotta love and be great at to do them! respect
^ Yeah, I wonder how many Rubik’s Cubes it took to make that photo?
I am an artist, and really suck at rubik’s cubes so i am greatly impressed by this.
One would think that this fits in more on Epic Win FTW, but I’m not complaining.
This is so very impressive. Who is the artist? I’m interested in seeing other works he may have done.
And you thought you were cool when you finished one of these!
I’m kinda worried about that kid at the end.
where are the hammers he used to smash it apart.
This is Racist!! against the white guy. Y u use Luther King?
It’s Dr. Dre…
He’s sitting in front of a laptop. I’m guessing he used photoshop or something else to convert it to 6 colors (6 sides to a cube) and then 400×800 pixels, then zooms in and figures out what colors each cube needs to be.
Not hard, but very very tedious.
So what? That’s not the point. The point is that he needs to solve each rubiks cube according to that scheme. It isn’t just get all sides red or blue or whatever it’s get square number three of row four that color and the one next that that one that color…
Chuck Close was a hyperrealist but he used a grid to make it easier on himself but it still isn’t something the average person could pull off.
He needs to solve 1 face only. That would only take about 10 seconds per cube, especially since he can disregard the top edge entirely.
SAUCE

You will never be able to leave one unsolved again.
This is an awesome idea and piece of art. But honestly, what he’s doing isn’t that hard. All he needs is one side of each cube to have the colors in the correct places. I’m sure it was an awfully grueling process, though.
